Risk assessment on the workplace for the construction sector

From May 18-20, 2016 by the “Georgian Employer’s Association” there was held the training on “Risk Assessment at the site for the construction sector”, led by the ILO trainer. The training was attended by the construction companies and social partners of Association, in particular, representatives of Labor Inspection Department of MOH, labor unions and safety experts and trainers. At the same time, in the training process there was actively involved “Infrastructure Builders” Association.
An important part of the training program was conceded to practical work, under which the participants visited the construction process of “Capitol Construction” Ltd ongoing project, construction of residential building on Shatberashvili str. N13. Participants of the training have evaluated on the site the risks and threats that may arise for builders, as well as for residents and the surrounding buildings.
After assessment of the situation on the site, participants has delivered the presentations during the seminar, within which there was discussed all the possible risks, which may reveal in the process of construction. They also discussed ways to reduce the risks.
Participants were awarded certificates.
Mr. Giorgi Gagua, the head of Safety monitoring department of the “Capitol Construction” Ltd was awarded certificate of labor and health safety in construction sector.
